Arrival at Mahe & transfer to Hotel
After arriving at the Mahe international airport, you are welcomed by our tour representative in this tropical paradise. He offers you an assisted transfer to the hotel. The largest island in Seychelles, Mahe Island has natural beauty in abundance and houses an array of flora and fauna species. The capital of Seychelles, Victoria, is also placed on the island and so it is one of the most developed places here, offering memorable holidays to honeymooners and an adventure vacation to adventure seekers. After you are done with the check-in formalities, the rest of the day is at leisure. You can either relax at the hotel while enjoying its facilities or can head out on your own to explore the sandy beaches of Mahe. Indulge in the activities of your interest. Stay overnight in Mahe.
Full Day Discovery Tour of Mahe Island
  • Kindlly note that you will be sharing this tour with other passengers and there is a minimum of eight passengers to run this tour. The tour may not run in case supplier will not be able to collect the minimum number of passengers. Your agent will contact you if this applies to your booking.
  • The tour begins with a pick up from your hotel where you will then be taken to the colonial centre of the world's smallest capital Victoria. Here you will see the court building, museum, post office, Clock tower (which is a twin of the clock outside Victorian station in London). We visit the 'codevar' building where local craft such or kreol or (Creole Gold) are on display for sale. A walk across Albert street will take us to to the colourful market where numerous stalls of tropical fruits, vegetables, fresh fishes, herbs and spices are on display in an abundance of fragrances. We then drive across the Sans Souci mountain for a photo stop at the historical Mission Lodge and then en-route to a quaint Creole restaurant for lunch. After lunch the tour continues to the southern tip of the island to the restored colonial plantation of 'Jardin du Roi', which is steeped in the short hisotry of the Creoles as well of the George's family, whose family tree apparently carries a link to Louis XVII of France. A cold drink of home-grown fruit welcomes visitors before starting the visit of the surrounding plantation of vegetables, exotic fruits, herbs and spices. The rest of the afternoon will be more chilled out before being taken back to the hotel you will have a stop at the craft village.
Transfer from Mahe to La Digue
After breakfast we will check out and depart Seat in Coach transfer to Mahe Jetty. Economy Class ferry from Mahe to La Digue Island. Arrival at La Digue jetty and transfer Seat in coach to La Digue Island Hotel. Rest of the day explore the Island of your own. Today perhaps have a walk down to the main street where you can hire a bicycle for a few days or for the duration of your stay. This is the best way to get around the island and gives you complete independence to go where you want, and when. They come with baskets in the front, so you can pack a picnic, and snorkel masks and fins, and just head to a secluded beach! Overnight stay at your hotel on La Digue.
La Digue Self Explore Day
Breakfast at the hotel. Today perhaps have a walk down to the main street where you can hire a bicycle for a few days or for the duration of your stay. This is the best way to get around the island and gives you complete independence to go where you want, and when. They come with baskets in the front, so you can pack a picnic, and snorkel masks and fins, and just head to a secluded beach! Overnight stay at your hotel on La Digue. Optional : Horse riding at L’Union Estate : If you want to enjoy horse riding in the sun in paradise, then the place to be is at L’Union Estate on the enchanting island of La Digue. You can either ride inside the large fenced area of the estate or along Anse Source d'Argent, one of the most photographed beaches in the world.
Tranfer from La Digue to Mahe Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be collected from your hotel and taken over to the jetty in time for the ferry to Mahe. This journey by ferry takes approximately 90 minutes. When you arrive on Mahe you will be met and transferred straight to airport for your onward journey. Tour ends with a life time experience for your recollection.
